I was a patient of Jades. I am cautioning against using Jade as your denture provider. When I first met her I was extremely impressed with her. She came across as a kind, caring and competent individual. I think things could have worked out fine if we had put off beginning our health care relationship till she returned from her trips. One thing Jade did great was referring me to a very generous and caring dentist ( Dr. Lee) who did a very expensive part of my dental plan for free. Thank you Dr. Lee!! The problems with Jade started around that time which I do have a part in. The extra dental work came as a shock because Jade noticed that I needed bone grinding and it had a price tag of an additional $4000 which I did not have. I called Jade and told her I couldn’t afford the extra. The next day Dr.lee called me and said she would not charge me for it. I immediately called Jade-and left a message letting her know that we were moving forward . I didn’t hear back from her for over a month. I went ahead with the procedure because I had booked the time off work to heal and I was not able to reschedule. When she did return is when things fell apart. During that time I did some research and found that some denturists will give permanent dentures between 6-8 weeks after extraction. I told Jade that this was the path I wished to take. When she refused I felt like she was giving me immediate dentures without the benefit of having teeth immediately and said that I wanted to stop treatment with her and go to a different denturist for the much cheaper permanent denture option. Her response was to leave the room in tears. I felt extremely uncomfortable and was derailed in my decision to move on. I got my ‘immediate dentures’ about 2 weeks later and this is where things went south for me and I decided to change my denturist regardless of tears and the seeming inability of Jade to control her emotions . I had a consult with another denturist explaining my situation keeping Jades name out of it where I received conflicting information which I chose to follow as my confidence in Jade had deteriorated to a point that I felt I could not move past. So on January 6 I let Jade know that I no longer had confidence in her and I would be moving on. I requested an itemized list of the services she had provided for me and a request for a refund for the services she had not yet provided. I heard nothing for a week and when she answered she asked for my email again which I provided. Shortly after I received an email stating that I had violated her OHS standards which I don’t understand. I never raised my voice, used profanity, threatened or resorted to name calling. I simply stated my position and my path forward so this leads me to believe that simply disagreeing violates her OHS policy. She also stated in this email that she is contacting a lawyer about a defamation lawsuit. Again I never used her name when I discussed my situation with the new denturist so I don’t understand where this comes into play. She has also not provided me with a detailed invoice as of yet and I don’t expect one as she has stated in this email she will not be refunding any portion of unused money as per the contract I signed. I wasn’t going to write a review but feel that if I can protect one person from paying a substantial amount of non refundable money regardless of how things go it is worth it. Just a note Jade does ask for full payment upfront. Because of the lack of substance to her claims of OHS violations and defamation lawsuit I believe this was a way to threaten me into silence. Good luck to whoever reads this and definitely seek out a second opinion before making your decision. Something I wish I had done.
Conveniently located in Allendale. This clinic is amazing. The front desk staff, Michelle is sweet and very patient. Jade, the denturist helped me with a night guard because I grind my teeth in my sleep. Jade provided me with a prompt appointment, and fitted me with the appropriate guard. I would definitely recommend to anyone!!
I can't say enough about how pleased I am with the service I received!
