I get very nervous about anything surgical. Dr. Manhas and his team (Ann- Marie) are excellent! I had gum grafting recently for two teeth. He and his team explained the process and each step throughout the procedure. Dr. Manhas checked in with me to make sure I was comfortable and would give me positive reinforcement during the procedure. I also like that he insisted on having music during the procedure. After the procedure they did not rush me out and made sure I had all the after care instructions and information. If I ever have to have this procedure again on other teeth, I would definitely go back to Dr. Manhas.
I have had major dental work done under Dr Brar and his team, over several years. I am over 60 and if you ever wanted the most kind compassionate, and considerate Dr. he is it. His staff are personable, well trained and long serving, which says a lot about how he treats staff in a stressful occupation.
I had prep for three implants five days ago. I was extremely impressed with Dr. Manhas’ bedside manner, explaining and educating me as he went along. He is a very kind man who is also very knowledgeable, instilling confidence as he is working. Anne Marie his assistant, was also extraordinary. Front desk staff (Linda and Noelle) also get 5 stars from me. I will not hesitate to recommend Calgary Perio, and will let my dentist know to not hesitate to refer her patients there. Excellent care and explanation of everything, from the photos to the surgical procedure. Front office staff very patient and accomodating with scheduling. I was referred to Dr. Manhas by a trusted and phenomenal dentist for a crown lengthening procedure after fracturing the enamel of my molar below the gum line. The surgery went very smoothly. Although every patient experiences surgery in their own unique way depending on many different factors, I am grateful to report that I experienced very mild pain that did not require ibuprofen, and there was no swelling or bleeding after the surgery. Dr. Manhas and his team were amazing. The front desk team was equally amazing, being kind, patient, and accommodating. According to the Canadian Academy of Periodontology, 'the crown lengthening procedure involves the removal and re-contouring of the gum and bone surrounding the fractured tooth. This provides your dentist with efficient tooth structure to work with in order to place the crown so that it will have a better chance of being retained on the tooth and to allow the gum tissues to be healthy” ( www.cap-acp.ca). If the tooth is restorable, this procedure is required to provide the necessary biological length for the restorative dentist to place a crown and save the tooth. If you are a good candidate for crown lengthening, look no further than Dr. Manhas and his team at Calgary Perio. I highly recommend them for periodontal services.
